Foxy’s owner came to us during the early summer of 2014 looking for a home for her. Watching him handle her, it was obvious she had been treated well her entire life. Most of her activity centered around trail rides. She had a hard time leaving him and her paddock mate. At first she lost a lot of weight brought on by constant pacing. Finally we got her in a paddock with other horses (so she would never be left alone) and we spent 6 months bringing her back to weight. Then during an exam, she was found to have a heart murmur and was moved to walk lessons only. But her demeanor and condition showed great improvement, and she is now back to walk and trot classes. She should enjoy many years of lighter duty and the happiness and security her herd brings her.
